Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center Expands Services in Garrard County
Ephraim McDowell Lancaster now offers immediate care and family medical care services. These services will be available Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will offer scheduled appointments as well as walk-in care. Located at 189 Farra Drive in the Health and Wellness Complex south of Lancaster, the immediate care and family medical care services will complement other services already provided there – Lancaster Diagnostics (offering full lab services, X-ray services and cardio/vascular services) and Lancaster Specialty Clinic (where patients may schedule office visits with specialty physicians who practice outside of Garrard County).
U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell Visits Garrard Chamber for Luncheon
U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell attended a luncheon and book signing event on Jan. 15 in the First Southern National Bank Community Room in Lancaster. The event was hosted by the Garrard County Chamber of Commerce and was attended by approximately 80 people. McConnell, Minority Leader in the U.S. Senate, gave a brief talk about the latest developments in Washington, their potential impact on Kentucky's families and businesses, and signed copies of a recently released political biography entitled Republican Leader.

The Garrard County Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Lancaster/Garrard County area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. Particular attention is given to the promotion of economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial, and educational interests of the area.
The Chamber is a private, non-profit corporation that unites businesses and professional firms in this county. These business volunteers work together to ensure a healthy economic and social base for the benefit of the community. The goals, policies and programs are determined by the volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership.
